I live in north Oxfordshire in the UK. I moved there from West London around 1993 when the company I worked for moved to Oxford Airport. I was married in 1998 and have 2 children, 1 of each.

Remains of the day – good drama
Alien – first of the modern genera. Gripping.. and with Ms Weaver.
Aliens – a good follow up with lots of drama and action.
Kill Bill Vol 1 – fantastic film and music even if pretty violent.
Battle of Britain – the only game in town – some great quotes and music.
A Night to remember – good accurate (for then) drama.
The 39 Steps – the colour one with Kenneth Moore in – good drama.
Goldfinger – fantastic fun and action.
A bridge to far – WW2 action and tragedy.
Field of dreams – pulls on the heart strings.
Point break – fantastic action esp aerial.
The Ipcress file – gold cold war stuff
The Railway Children – fantastic heart-string puller.
Casablanca – very evocative.
North by North-West – good action.
It’s a wonderful life – a real feel-good movie with a moral story.
Das Boot - gripping WW2 submarine drama
Die Hard - great fun and action.
Raiders of the Lost ark – great action.
Apollo 13 – good drama.
Bullit! – A real classic – Moody Mc Queen and action packed – great music.
The Fugitive – Tommy lee Jones version – good action.
US Marshalls – good action and Tommy lee Jones in good form.
Men In Black – funny fantasy.
The Blues Brothers – great fun, great music, great quotes and a silly story.
The Aviator - not a bad bio film.
The Taking of Pelham 123 – good action with Walter Mathau.
Aces High – gritty, telling WW1 RAF action.
The Good the bad and the Ugly - Western action with a strange appeal.
The cruel sea - Gritty, wrenching WW2 Navy reality with Jack Hawkins.
The Long Good Friday - Great London based Gangster film with Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren (phew) and the guy (Charlie) out of ‘Casualty’

The World at War – definitive if now old series.
B25’s do fly in IMC – great documentary.
Band of Brothers – utterly fantastic series.
Life on Mars – great 70’s retro cop drama.
Air Accident investigation – pretty well done and interesting series.
Dragons Den – great if you like viewing about the working of the business brain.
How do they make that? Very interesting series.
Kings of construction – fantastic series on building massive projects around the world.
Deadly Encounter – Larry Hagman – fantastic helicopter action flying.
The Apprentice – Your fired!

People who complain about writing blogs who write blogs.
Idiots.

Drivers who are unable to operate their indicators.
Shops that have two swing doors and one is always locked.
People who own the road.
People who say they are going to do something and never do.
Big Brother, Eastenders and all types of TV Soap crap.
