Will it rain in Birmingham?

This weekend (November 21st and 22nd 2009) the Just Trains crew are heading off to Birmingham for the Warley Model Railway Exhibition at the NEC, and you know what that means? Rain.

According to our resident weather expert Scotty, it always rains in Birmingham (when he is there, at least) and it looks like this weekend is going to keep up with tradition as the current forecast is for heavy rain on Saturday… Marvellous!

Of course, we won’t let the rain dampen our spirits (maybe it will be bright and sunny as in the photo above!?), unless it’s when we’re made to walk in it due to the strict security staff manning the gates and carparks at the national exhiibition centre, where in previous years we have turned up on the Saturday and Sunday morning clutching important equipment and soaked right through, or crammed on a shuttle bus from one of the carparks that feels like it has been placed as far away as they could possibly manage…

Both the wonderful “Newcastle to York Modern” route developed by Darren Porter, and the great-value Class 60 & Freight Wagon pack (Class 60 loco, IWB Cargowaggon, YGB Seacow, and five additional scenarios) are due to be available on disc at the show a week ahead of the street date, and for everyone eager to know what 2010 has in store for you, then we may have some early views of forthcoming products.

The show takes place in Hall 5 at the NEC and Just Trains will be at Stand B37 - hopefully with a nice big screen on a display stand, showing our RailWorks and Rail Simulator add-ons in action, so why not come along, get a few show bargains, and maybe even see some all new products months before release!
