I am fortunate to have recently had a holiday on the Spanish Island of Majorca and whilst there drove around the island. One thing about the Spanish is that they like to to decorate their roundabouts (Traffic islands) with art which is actually a really nice thing to do. It adds some class and culture to an otherwise mundane piece of road infrastructure. There are a few in the UK and one I saw in Birmingham recently of three Spitfires near the factory where Spitfires were built during WW2, but Spain definitely has more ‘arty’ roundabouts than us. During my travels around the island there were interlocking rings, a gigantic tricycle and this one below, an excellent representation of the CL-215T water bomber that is used around the world and in Majorca, in fact I saw one flying whilst there but was not quick enough to get my camera! The clever bit about this piece of art is that the support that holds the structure up is depicted as the water that it drops when on operations.

Nice!
’till the next time.
Keep safe.
Scotty.
