“A loaded gun”, geddit? Maybe not, but never mind - proof, if it were really needed, that it’s not just Scotty who can reel off the bad puns as Blog titles at Just Trains towers!

Interesting variety…
One thing that is sure to bring any train simulation to life is a varied selection of trains - be that different designs, liveries or in the case of wagons, the loads that they are carrying. We think our Cargowaggon Flat IGA pack is going to help bring a huge amount of interesting variety to Rail Simulator thanks to the selection of cargo loads that we’ve included, as you can see in the following screenshots…

Large diameter pipe, heading for a construction site.

Rails, as seen during major track relaying works.

Sawn timber planks, which started their life as…

…logs, felled from a big ol’ forest.

More pipes, this time of a smaller diameter.

Along with some steel rods, no doubt used to re-enforce concrete.

And some steel reels bundled up for their long journey.
Not only do you get these seven excellent loads, but also unloaded versions of the wagons - both weathered and unweathered. Each of the loads have been made so you can switch them on and off in the scenario editor, and if you’re a dab-hand at 3D modelling you may even want to try creating your own loads to compliment the initial selection.
The next few weeks are going to be exciting times for Rail Simulator users, with the release of Class 66, Isle of Wight and Newcastle-York Official Expansion Packs, and the first of our PlusPak’s - Cargowaggon IWB - rapidly approaching its early-November release. Not to mention the boxed version of our Voyager add-on, which has been getting stunning reviews, with one reviewer saying he felt it “enriches Rail Simulator” - and he’s not wrong!
If you’d like to see both of our Cargowaggon packs (and maybe even some more new content…!) in action then we’ll be demonstrating them at the forthcoming Flight & Train Simulation show at the Thinktank in Birmingham on November 8th, and at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham a couple of weekends later on November 22nd and 23rd - we rail-y (*groan*) look forward to seeing you there
P.S. Don’t forget to let us know what you think of the Cargowaggon loads, using the Response Form below… we’re always delighted to hear your thoughts!
