I got a brand new combine harvester… (and I’ll give you the key…)

Hmmm.. more obtuse blog titles from me…I have been banned from train puns in Just Trains towers, but I am not in the towers at the moment so I will carry on down the line with them.. :-)

Anyway, well no, I have not got a brand new combine harvester, (”have you in fact got any cheese at all?”) they are not of much use on the railways apart from when they are freight loads and that’s where our second brand new Rail Sim PlusPak (not combine) gets introduced . As two very observant blog readers (or should that be bleaders as in if a blog writer is a ‘blogger’ is a blog reader a ‘bleader’?) guessed correctly from my ’sneak peak’ of the IGA last week, our second Rail Sim PlusPak features the ever popular and versatile Cargowaggon flat IGA and I guess these could carry bits of combine harvesters, although I will say here and now that is not one of the loads that ours will feature! On a very simplistic level the IGA is a flat version of the Cargowaggon IWB but, there are differences one for example being a slightly different type of bogie’s, so to one of the blog responders who said we were using the same type of bogie as the IWB ones, well no we are not, we have gone the extra mile for authenticity and have the correct IGA bogie’s, but before anybody gets excited, even amongst these different bogie’s there seems to subtle differences so the ones we have modelled are the ones we have modelled.

As with the IWB the IGA will feature a representative choice of liveries although there is not much to area on them to paint(!) and a choice of different loads to add variety and interest to your consists. At last the Rail Sim world is starting to become populated with some different wagons. Unfortunately it seems that Rail Simulator cannot load or unload these types of loads at present, it can only load and unload containers and bulk loads such as coal, but hopefully the Rail sim engine will be updated to allow loading and unloading of these types of loads in the near future to allow more realistic operations, but don’t fear, we are supplying empty as well as loaded versions as well as weathered and less weathered versions to make sure you have a good choice, anyway less of my waffle and here are some pictures of the IGA - note that these are not the final production versions and do not show the full range of loads that will be available in the final product. Enjoy!

P.S. There are these and more pictures of the IGA (showing more loads) as well as other products in-development over at our Just Trains in-development page - why not trundle over there for more views?
