Recent weeks have seen Scotty provide updates on a number of our Just Flight and Just Trains products which are currently in development, and one that we’ve given some sneak peeks at is the Voyager for Rail Simulator.
Today we’re ready to reveal a short preview video of the Voyager, which will be available as both the standard Class 220 and also Class 221 Super Voyager, and a number of scenarios across the default routes including some fictional “what if” activities.
As yet a release date for the Voyager add-on hasn’t been set, and there are some further bits and pieces being sorted on the pack before we’re ready to let it loose on the rails, but we’re sure that fans of modern rolling stock will find a home for the impressive Voyager and welcome it to your collection!
What ever the weather…
Scotty has been heard to grumble about the weather on a number of occasions, and he’s often remarked at how Didcot always seems to be under a nuclear explosion style cloud, so I’ve been looking at some new Weather patterns in Rail Simulator with the aim of bringing bright sunny days to the virtual world, or of course being highly realistic and making it spit with rain so as it feels as gloomy as it really is outside - or as I found by changing a few settings slightly too far, golf-ball sized snowflakes during a blizzard or big foamy bubbles which closely resembled being in a carwash…
It’s proving impressive to see how much scope there is with the weather system in Rail Simulator and certainly an area we hope to take advantage of in the future.
Further down the line…
Exciting news! We’re hoping to be able to announce another Rail Simulator add-on very soon, following on from our Official Expansion Pack, with specific details of the new arrival being thrashed out at this very moment, so keep an eye on the blog and subscribe to the RSS feed to ensure you get to find out all the info!
