Welcome to the latest (some may say greatest - others may not!) instalment of my blog that covers some of what we guys and girls at Just Flight and Just Trains have been up to recently, (well at work anyway!)
Now I can never be accused of moaning about the weather (cough!) but here in the UK Monday was a “Bank holiday” (I.E. a national day off from work, which also means the banks are closed – go figure). Bank holidays always happen on a Monday so lots of people tend to make it a long weekend from the Friday to the Monday. Of course we all hope that these weekends more than other ‘normal/short’ weekends have good weather but of course it did not happen – this last weekend was gale force winds and driving rain and grey skies fully over the weekend, unless you lived in the upper half of the UK where (apparently) it was lovely…. Still there is always the next bank holiday…
Mosquito.
After a long wait the much enquired about and eagerly anticipated Mosquito is nearly here and I have posted ten brand new pictures from it on our In development page on the main website. These shots feature the 2D instrument panels as well as some of the VC (Virtual Cockpit). For the 2D panels we have both the single screen and the ‘split’ screen models with the fighter models having the gun sight showing. Those eagle-eyed viewers will no doubt note quite a variety of the layouts in the VC pictures that reflect the very wide range of models that are featured in this pack. Shown is the bomb aimers position in the bomber models, the opening starboard DV (Direct Vision) window that all the models have, two of the radar versions as well as a ‘stock’ cockpit (if there ever was such a thing!). Mosquito is for FS2004 and is FSX compatible using the Fs2004 models as their basis.
Real Scenery White Waltham Airfield.
Also in the In development section of the site I have posted some new pictures of White Waltham, the next release in our Real Scenery airfields range. This once more is a highly detailed and accurate depiction of this unique airfield that lies just to the west of London Heathrow airport. It’s a host to many unique aircraft from both the west and the east and we have included a Yak 52 Ai and static aircraft to add that authenticity. More details and the pics are here.
Other Planes, Trains and … (no, sorry no cars)..
Other work is progressing apace with the 747-200/300 and the Constellation projects in particular. The FSX SP2 updates for Tiger Moth and the Flying Club fleet are still very much on the boil as well as on-going development for Traffic X. On the train side the Voyager pack (a pic shown here on the last blog) is also progressing well with scenario building recently happening and the much anticipated Bristol to Exeter route is still making progress towards completion later this year. Routes for Rail Simulator are probably the most challenging item to build for any add-on for this platform (yes a pun and rail is so ripe for them!) and takes a very large amount of time and hard work to produce them (properly), work is still in progress on the route but please see three pics (work in progress!) below. For more information and previously released pics please see here.

Just outside Bridgewater station - Rail Simulator does have excellent looking water!

Exeter.

Down the line.
‘till the next time.
Keep safe.
