Good pilot? Try landing on The Needles…

We’ve just launched a free upgrade for VFR Real Scenery Volume 2 and Isle of Wight, converting the specially created 3D model of the Needles Lighthouse in to a landable surface, meaning you can now take off and land on the world famous lighthouse on the western tip of the island.

Needles lighthouse

Scotty’s attempt at trying to land on the lofty helipad was apparently less than sucessful (probably caused by a mix of crosswind and jeering from everyone else in the office watching the precision maneuver) but if you reckon you can do better then why not upload a video of you landing on our Needles lighthouse to YouTube and email us a link to the video - we’re going to give a free copy of VFR Real Scenery Volume 3 when it’s released this summer to the first pilot who can show us how it’s done!

Download the free update from the VFR Real Scenery page in the Support section of our website.

for my attempt

Last night, having edited, edited?? “altered” (geek alert!) the length of some new trousers … I failed to make pre-landing checks before alighting on the sofa.

Landing on the needles hurts!

the scenery looks very nice! @chris: your attempt looks very good. kind regards
